YO U a “note to self” zine

Note to Self “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” - Oscar Wilde High school is a time of discovery and growth, but this oftentimes comes with confusing and terrifying journey of discovering identity and individuality. It’s a common and scary question we all face: “Who am I?” The truth is that there is no straightforward or “right” answer to this question. And it’s okay to not have any answer at all. We often like to label ourselves and multiple identities, which can be empowering and freeing, but also remember that there isn’t one word or label in the world that can completely encapsulate your entire worth or identity. Maybe except one word: YOU. We hope this month’s Zine full of art, videos, and writing will encourage you discover more and live freely in your true YOU!

scheduling tips for YOU by joshua ramirez Scheduling, whether for college or high school classes, is important both discovering your interests and pathing your future. Here are a few tips to help you navigate scheduling! Cement Strategy Imagine all the classes you will plan to apply for. Can you handle it? Will you be happy with them? Would you be able to pass all these classes? Answer these questions carefully! Fulfill Requirements Make sure all your classes fulfill your graduation requirements so you avoid any last minute surprises like not being able to graduate due to not having a certain class or being short on credits. Give Yourself Time Make sure you have enough time to do the assignments, studying, and in-class time itself as well as enough to do other activities so you don't get overwhelmed to avoid stress and more problems down the road. Most of all: remember to give yourself room for your own personal downtime! Everybody, no matter how good at time management they are, needs time to take a breather.
