Card Technologies Time&Space is a unique system with an open reader policy, offering support for almost all major card technologies. Four RFID (proximity) types are recommended: A leading American brand for classic and smart RFID identification. Classic 125kHz RFID technology from either HID or Indala, and more recent HID iClass proximity smartcards (13.56MHz). Spica is HID's authorised reseller and solution partner. Advanced smartcard technology from a leading European source for the most demanding security and multi-application requirements. Spica is Legic's licensed partner. Easy to implement and affordable smartcard technology, originally from Philips, available from various sources. Communications Communication throughout the system is based on Ethernet networking and Internet protocol, with the additional possibility of using a cost-effective RS485 subnetwork for data collection.
