Spice members have even achieved a world record for the largest mass fire breathing at Stonehenge a few years back. Not only does it give you an unbelievable talent to show off, and an unbelievable line to put on your CV, but completing our Fire Eating Workshop also provides a huge boost to your confidence and self esteem. The first & the last .. it’s all good! At Spice West Midlands, it’s not really in our tradition to win things! So at National Dragon Boat Racing it is more usual for us to adopt the defensive persona of pretending it doesn’t matter to us and mocking other groups for taking it all so seriously! Well this all changed on Sunday when this group swept the board by winning first, second and last places! Our winning 2 teams (one dressed as Vikings!) were absolutely spectacular and I was as proud as proud could be to bring the shield back home to the West Midlands. Spice being Spice, I was equally proud of our valiant losers who added lots of fun to the day. Never has so much effort gone into coming last! On one occasion they opted to paddle backwards just to make sure! All in all, it was a wonderful weekend of fun, friendship and goodhearted competition. Zorb Football One of our most eagerly awaited and strongly requested events has its debut in Aston this Saturday 19th July. You really don’t want to miss it! We’re playing football wearing body zorbs. Anyone can do it – just bring a sense of humour! Click HERE
