Eclipsomania! Many of you know that one of my favourite Spice experiences was taking a group to see a total eclipse of the sun over Turkey in 2006. So I was excited to discover that on Friday 20th March at 9.31am we will be able to see an eclipse over the West Midlands if the weather permits. Admittedly, we are a little far south for a total eclipse (best book a ticket to the Faroe Islands to see that!), but we are promised over 80% of cover of the Sun by the moon – which should be impressive. Special events are always more fun when shared with friends, so we have hastily arranged a breakfast and stroll in Sutton Park in order to see this historic event with minimal light pollution – see HERE I do hope that the weather is kind to us so that those Spice members who have heard me speak so enthusiastically about that amazing experience in 2006 get some idea of why I get so excited about it. Those rare occasions when nature puts on an extra special show of its awesomeness and beauty should not be missed by anyone who has a soul!
