Spike on the Water Inc. was created to service the heart of the recreational boating community; your time on the water.

Everyday, we give thanks just to be on the water! With every project we have accepted, It is the clients sensitivities that have guided our growth as detailers. Our services are performances of obsession delivered with care and diligence to always exceed our client expectations with a constant commitment to love what we do. The “on the water crew” respects our working environment on the water as delicate and precious. We thrive on the personal nature of our tasks and rely wholeheartedly on “Word of Mouth” advertising.

Shane “Spike” DesLoges - C.E.O.

“To cultivate opportunities in the marine environment through the education and invigoration of all old and new to the marine industry”

OUR HISTORY 2003

In the beginning there was just a bucket, brush, boat soap and a relentless passion to make a life on the water. On roller skates, “Spike” wheeled all over the GTA. Toronto Outer Harbour Marina, Bluffers Park and Port Credit Harbour were the major destinations in 2003. Deck washes came first, interior detailing next and finally “Spike” earned enough to buy an orbital polisher and some one step wax.

2004 www.spikeonthewater.ca created 100% by “Spike” came on line! 2006 WIth our third season, moonlighting as a towboat captain and crew came to an end. Consistent service for various brokerages became mainstay.

2007 With a crew of 6, Headquartered from a bachelor apartment in Parkdale with transport provided by Spikes first car, the Limo.

2008 Head office was moved to Windermere Ave. and our service area extended to service east to Whitby and west to Burlington.

2009 A major e-commerce upgrade to our website began to enable all our services and many detailing supplies to be purchased online.

2010 Spike on The Water was incorporated and plans to duplicate our efforts into other regions unfolded.

2012 An amazing year with 12 On The Water crew at peak season, servicing

more than 30 boats on seasonal schedule consistently setting records for efficient delivery of our highly specialized services.

2013 Our primary goal became transperancy and sustainability guided by the

BCorporation assessment. Our initial score of 46 of 200 set the stage for our first publication of the 2013 Service Catalogue.

2014 The 10 year test, Introduction of the Lyoness Loyalty program, all new “On the Water Crew”,our employee handbook and the first printed publication of our 2014 service catalogue with 2000 copies distributed to marinas, yacht clubs and marine stores all around the GTA.

2015 A strategic partnership is now established with The Dock Shoppe returning to the habourfront and hosting the Spike On the Water Inc. depot and we are finally ON THE WATER!!

DECK POLISH

The deck surfaces deserve wax. It really cannot survive without it! The elements are consistently interacting with your gel-coat producing oxidization everyday. The measure of oxidization can be seen as dull, felt as dry and the worst cases leave a chalky residue when touched and the pours of your gel coat will fill up with black mold... We have many solutions and maintenance options to restore, revitalize and reconstitute the health of your gel coat surfaces.
