PRICING GUIDE

OUR HISTORY 2003 - Shane “Spike” Desloges created “Spike On the Water” In the beginning there was just a bucket, brush, boat soap and a relentless passion to make a life on the water. On his roller skates, “Spike” wheeled all over the GTA. Toronto Outer Harbour Marina, Bluffers Park and Port Credit Harbour were the major destinations in 2003. Deck washes came first, interior detailing next and finally “Spike” earned enough to buy an orbital polisher and some one step wax.

Our services are calculated by LOA (length overall). We have set this standard to simplify service pricing and balance the many vessel designs power and sail that we attend to. As the LOA increases, the interior designs, deck layouts and bottom surface areas also increase is size. We accommodate vessels of all shapes and sizes.

2005 - James “Inspect-a-Deck” Billard joined the company and our detailing obsession became profitable. 2007 - with a crew of 6, Headquartered from a bachelor apartment in Parkdale with transport provided by Spikes first car, the Limo. 2008 - head office was moved to Windermere Ave. and our service area extended to service Whitby to Burlington. 2009 - a major upgrade to our website began to enable all our services and many detailing supplies to be purchased online. 2010 - Spike on The Water was incorporated and plans to duplicate our efforts into other regions unfolded. 2012 - an amazing year with 12 “On The Water” crew at peak season, servicing more than 30 boats on seasonal schedule consistently setting records for efficient delivery of our highly specialized services.

ANTIFOUL APPLY

ANTIFOUL PREP

Our anti-foul application service rates do not include the cost of paint. Anti-foul life depends on how often the vessel actually moves. Stagnant boats collect more foul and will lose more anti-foul protection next time underway. I. Double pass the waterline and chipped areas only II. Sail. Incl. rudder and extra pass in keel creases III. After a level III prep this service is available Teflon. Some boats prefer polish instead of paint Cutting. This job done well makes all the difference. The anti-foul paint that you choose should last two seasons with proper preparation. Scuffing or sanding is necessary to ensure the new coat of paint adheres correctly and lasts through the season. Depending on the type of anti-foul and current condition of the surface; sandpaper grade utilized could range from 40 grit up to 320 before fresh application(s).

DECK POLISH

DECK POLISH

Our focus when performing a deck polish is ultimately the health of the gel surface. Depth of the natural light reflection and consistency from stem to stern. I. A thick wax with moderate solvents to clean II. Lightly oxidized surface corrected by a blend of mild abrasives and hard wax. III to VI All compounding services are all finished with a gloss compound and a coat of pure wax.

Level III

Level II

The deck surfaces deserve wax. It really cannot survive without it! The elements are consistently interacting with your gel-coat producing oxidization everyday. The measure of oxidization can be seen as dull, felt as dry and the worst cases leave a chalky residue when touched and the pores of your gel coat will fill up with black mold... We have many solutions and maintenance options to restore, revitalize and reconstitute the health of your gel coat surfaces.
