Road Trip - Girl Scout Camp Style!

Grades 4-12 JCSA Friday, June 2, 2023 – Sunday, June 4, 2023 Join us for an adventure-packed tour of the eastern Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska camps! We will begin our road trip from the Omaha Service Center and from there we’ll experience the best that Camp Crossed Arrows, Camp Maha, and Camp Catron have to offer during a whirlwind weekend campout. Reach new heights with the Eugene’s Adventure Course at Camp Catron, take a thrilling ride on the Soaring Hawk Zip Line Tour at Camp Crossed Arrows, and explore the high challenge course at Camp Maha. Stay overnight at two different camp properties and enjoy archery, swimming, hiking, cooking outdoors, and making SWAPS, too. You’ll even earn a special patch and bandana to represent each camp location! Countdown to Camp Box 2023

Grades K-12 DBJCSA * Countdown to Camp Boxes are packages delivered right to your door with everything you need to keep the camp fun going all year long! Each box has a unique theme and contains supplies to make a SWAPS (Special Whatchamacallit Affectionately Pinned Somewhere), learn camp skills, and make a craft. Plus with each box, you’ll learn about upcoming council-sponsored camps and discover something new about Spirit of Nebraska’s camp properties. JANUARY – CAMP GOURMET The January box is all about camp cooking! Discover your inner gourmet as you try appetizers, main courses, and desserts—all with a camp twist! This box includes a SWAPS, recipes, and dry ingredients, activity instructions, patch and more! Purchase of some food items will be required to complete the recipes. Included in the box you will find supplies to make a wish boat, learn about flag retirement, and make a SWAPS. You’ll receive supplies to make a friendship bracelet and Ojo de Dios as well as a patch and activity packet that will help you learn about camp traditions dating back over 100 years! You’ll enjoy a sampling of upcoming camps from the 2023 Girl’s Guide to Summer Fun! This box includes supplies and instructions needed to make your own wand, a Baby Yoda SWAPS, and a miniature bow and arrow. You’ll also receive a fun patch and activity packet with camp games and songs—with this box you’ll be ready for summer camp! *Adult supervision is required for Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors and recommended for all others.
