On Independence Day, I was able to be a part of the Belton Fourth ofJuly Parade and rode in a 1972 Breyer Blue Corvette. It was extremely enjoyable to be a part of, and I am very grateful to say I was a part ofone of the 10longest parades in America! It was incredible to see the thousands of people (and pets!) who showed up to watch the parade. One of my favorite parts was watching the young kids get excited to see us drive by.To say my duchess and I had a blast would be an understatement! We are extremely grateful to have been a part of this parade and for everyone who helped with us being there.
In addition to the Fourth ofJuly parade, on Sunday, July7, I attended my last District Seven Youth Achievement Day (YAD) that I would participate in and was the mistress of ceremonies for the royalty competition. Although I had to pass down my duties as District Seven Queen, I knowthat District Seven will always be in my heart. My time helping out at YAD is not over, and I plan to continue to be involved. I also am extremely appreciative to have received the Youth Achievement Award and will continue to dedicate time and effort to SPJST.
