Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves will be taking Christmas wishes. The Open House will also feature children's activities, including face painting, McGruff the Crime Dog, and a
puppet show. Guests are also invited to take an old-fashioned horse-drawn carriage ride around the block. Refreshments will be served. Throughout the holiday season, the Home Office will feature the Youth Christmas Tree, which will be decorated with ornaments designed and created by SPJST Youth Club members across Texas.
Museum Comes to Life The SPJST Museum will also display a Czech Christmas tree with traditional Czech decorations. And, during the Open House, the museum will come to life with several areas featuring men and women who will be available to tell about different areas. A doctor, a farmer, a World War II veteran, a blacksmith, a musician, a cook, and a quilter will be featured. A traditional Czech Christmas dinner will also be on display. This will be a true learning experience for all ages. The Home Office will also be sponsoring a toy drive through the holiday season. Toys will be donated to the local Santa Pal program to provide a memorable Christmas for economically disadvantaged families. All toy donations will be greatly appreciated.
