Lodge 24, Cyclone: Ted Lange, Mollie B and Squeezebox returns May 21
Brush off your dancing shoes - which have most probably been in the closet for over a year now - and get ready to dance to Ted Lange and Mollie B and Squeezebox who are coming to Flag Hall SPJST Lodge 24, Cyclone in a few weeks. Tables are really filling up with people who want to get out and get back to dancing.
We were very happy that Mollie B called us and asked us to host her dance which will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021, with dancing from 7 to 11 p.m. The doors will open at 6 p.m., and the kitchen will be serving those delicious sausage plates, including green beans and parsley new potatoes. The bar will also have a variety of your favorite beverages cold and ready to quench your thirst.
The smell of sausage cooking in the kitchen will fill the hall with that good flavor. So come hungry, and plan to have a wonderful meal before you start dancing.
Things are starting to look a little like “the good ol’ times.” Ted and Mollie B always put on a wonderful show playing some of your favorite tunes.
Call Linda Wilde at 254-985-2258 for more information or to purchase your tickets in advance for only $15 per person. Children under 10 years of age are free of charge. Tickets will be $20 at the door that night if seats are available.
It has been so sad to see the dark dance hall closed for more than a year. It will be so good to see it full of people having fun and dancing again. Linda M. Wilde, Treasurer —SPJST—

Lodge 88, Houston hosts Crawfish Boil
Well, Lodge 88, Houston is back! We started our opening process with the first very successful event, the crawfish boil. The weather was beautiful and encouraged many families to come out and enjoy the backyard and new playgrounds and to just socialize with other members.
It’s been a long year, and everyone was excited to get out and get together. The band ELC provided music for the day on the gazebo. The cooks did a fantastic job making sure more than 500 pounds of crawfish were ready and cooked to perfection. Pizza was available for the non-mud bug takers.
Special thank you to the new Men’s Club for their efforts organizing this event and to all those who donated their time, equipment, and expertise in various positions (including eating) to make this day successful and enjoyable for all.
