Lodge 30, Taiton youth enjoys LIT camp Lodge 47, Seaton youth excited to attend first SPJST camp

Just recently, I attended LIT (Leadersin-Training) camp at Camp Kubena. I had so much fun seeing old and new friends. I enjoyed all the activities there, and I can’t wait to go with my district to camp as an LIT. Bethany Baker, age 14 —SPJST—

This week, we’re doing Ram Camp. Last week, we did Camp Extra at school. It was very fun. I learned how to float this summer. Next week, we’re going to go to Summer Fun Water Park. We are also going to go to the bowling alley. Then after that, we’re going to Camp Kubena. It’s going to be my first time in camp. I’m so excited. I’m still excited to go swimming at camp. I’m going to pass the swimming test. I hope we are going to have the Fourth of July float this year in the parade. I want to ride in it. Fraternally, Andrew Ordogne, age 6 —SPJST—

Lodge 47, Seaton youth shares summer fun times

Dear Vestnik Readers,

School is out for the summer! I made a perfect score on my STAAR reading test. I have had a great summer break so far. We have just finished a camp called Camp Extra at an elementary school. It was fun. We read Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library there. I really enjoyed that book. We are also doing the library’s summer reading program again this year. I have to read for 30 minutes every day. I enjoy reading.

We have went swimming a few times already this summer, and I bet we will go swimming a lot more. This year at Camp Kubena, I am going to pass my swim test. I am so glad that my brother and I will get to go this year.

I cannot wait for the rest of the summer. I will see you in August. Fraternally, Travis Ordogne, age 9 —SPJST—
