BIO
I have played football since I was young and sport has been a huge part of my life, I have spent many years studying both the scientific side and practical side. I formerly played for a 5 a side team from 2012-2014. After school, I wanted further education in sport and applied for the Sheffield United Futsal course where I could get a good qualification in sport and play competitive futsal for Sheffield United. We won the league in our first season without being beaten. We also competed in the National Finals where we topped our group, but was eliminated in the quarter finals. I feel my strengths in football are my pace, long passing and long shooting such as free kicks from the edge of the box. I have always wanted to live in America since being young as it is known as the land of opportunity and the fact I get to play football as well is a huge bonus. I would like to study a degree in sport, computing or journalism because I am hugely interested in these subjects.

Post-sixteenI am currently studying a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport with Sheffield United where I play Futsal competitively. The qualification is the equivalent to 3 A levels and I am looking at achieving DDD which is the maximum possible grade.
1. Why do you want to go in the USA? Being able to study in the USA is something I have always dreamed about. This is a great opportunity to meet with people from all over the world whilst at the same time playing my favourite sport and studying for a degree in a subject that I am enthusiastic about. The number of opportunity’s in the states are endless and with the increasing popularity of soccer in the US, I hope to also coach youngsters and even may look into doing this permanently after my degree is finished. 2. What degree do you want to study? I have 2 subjects that I would like to study more than anything. Obviously sport is high on the list because I have studied sport for a large period of my life. Therefore a degree in sport coaching/teaching would be ideal for me as I am enthusiastic about it. Journalism and Computing also appeal to me and if I wasn’t currently doing a BTEC Level 3 course in Sport, Journalism or Computing would be my subjects of choice. 3. What would you like to achieve over your four years in the USA? Over the 4 year period, I would like to achieve US independence as living out there permanently appeals to me due to the array of opportunity’s compared to the UK.I would also like to achieve further knowledge in soccer by working with top class players and coaches and overall I can hopefully improve my soccer ability.
