I’ve spent a lot of time in Florida over the past 20 years, and I love the energy and beauty of Palm Beach. There are so many amazing restaurants and boutiques to visit. I love to stay at The Colony, which is such a beautiful classic hotel destination and now, a STURM residency, where Palm Beach patients can experience my full facial menu for the STURMGLOW™️.

The warm weather in Florida can bring unique challenges to the skin due to the heat and high humidity. UV rays penetrate and deeply affect skin health, and sun exposure photoages the skin, causing inflammation, acne, and dysfunction. Heat can also cause skin to produce more oil, heat rashes, and sweat, which increases transepidermal water loss from the body, leading to dehydration, irritation, and breakouts. In the heat and humidity, you don’t want to use rich or oily products; you want to go with light and super hydrating ones. My products and facials at The Colony deliver freshness and hydration without clogging pores.

A skincare routine for warmer weather should boost your skin’s barrier function with healing, nourishing, and nonaggressive ingredients. Start with my gentle foam Cleanser, followed by the Good C Vitamin C Serum, to combat hyperpigmentation, and my Hyaluronic Serum and Face Cream Light to provide essential but lightweight hydration. My Sun Drops SPF 50 offer hybrid sun protection and skincare that creates a broad-spectrum shield against UVA and UVB rays.

When traveling, you can adapt your routine to combat inflammation triggers, such as sleep deprivation, stress, and changing climates. On a flight, you can counteract the dry cold air from the plane with an effective hydrating skincare routine that can be reapplied throughout the journey. An effective routine can include my Face Mask, which you can apply on the plane to lock in hydration. My Hyaluronic Serum and Hyaluronic Face Mist are also great travel companions as they’re packed with concentrated low and high molecularly weighted hyaluronic acid to provide instant hydration. You can also always travel with my mini-sized Anti-Pollution Drops, which protect skin against environmental pollution, Calming Serum to reduce any irritation, and Glow Drops and Lip Balm for an immediate healthy glow. When flying, I also recommend avoiding alcohol, and instead drinking lots of water, eating healthy foods, and prioritizing rest. When I’m staying at The Colony, the first thing I’ll do is take a shower and use the Enzyme Cleanser. Then I apply the Face Mask to boost circulation and use the Hyaluronic Serum and Face Cream for a refreshed complexion. Diet and lifestyle are hard to maintain when traveling, which is when the supplements are super important. I take my Sturm Inside supplements every day with my breakfast, and if I’m jet lagged, I also take Good Night before bed. ■
