An independent tennis professional for the City of Fairhope since 2010, Dotson joined the Badger coaching
staff in the fall of 2013 as the men’s coach after having also served as a volunteer coach at Fairhope High
School for four seasons and the owner/director of The Club at Rock Creek from 2004-2010. He assumed the
reins of the women’s program in the summer of 2014. Dotson holds an Associate in Arts degree from Martin Methodist College
in Pulaski, Tenn., and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Birmingham-Southern College in 1984.
A native of Detroit, Mich., Dotson has also served as the owner/director of Cascades Racket Club in Clinton, Miss., and been the Head Tennis
Professional at The Fields Club in Norcross, Ga., and The Country Club
of Roswell in Roswell, Ga. He began his career in coaching as the Head
Tennis Professional for the Town of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., in January 1994. As collegiate player, Dotson was the Team MVP at Martin Methodist in 1982
and earned a national ranking in the NAIA at Birmingham-Southern during the 1984 season.
