Our fragile environment is celebrated in my colourful, semiabstract paintings. The Galloway landscape is my subject, reflecting a deep love and understanding of the four seasons and the opportunity they bring for adventures in paint and mixed media.

What to expect: Paintings, sketchbooks, cards, work-in-progress and the paraphernalia of an artist's studio are available for visitors to engage with. A library of art books can be browsed and, weather permitting, a small garden with views towards Bengairn can be accessed.

Directions: Twynholm village is off the A75 and 3 miles north of Kirkcudbright. My studio is behind W.B. Galloway’s garage and located 100 metres on the left in The Doon.

Accessibility: There is ample parking in the immediate vicinity. There are three standard steps into the studio itself.

I am drawn to places where I experience the energy and thrill of being there. Stormy seas especially; however, chance encounters like bright/dark skies and swollen rivers provide something unusual too. Started on location, these are brought to life in the studio.

What to expect: Access is given to both my home and studio where different sized framed paintings are on show. These are mainly seascapes and landscapes, in a semi abstract style. Figurative work, along with unframed paintings and cards, available also. Sketchbooks, to browse, show my creative progress.

Accessibility: Please leave driveway for those who need easy access. There will be wheelchair access to the house but not the actual studio.
