Through conspicuous processes of walking, talking, listening, drawing, collecting, and performative actions I explore local landscapes and how we connect to them. Integrating art and ecology, the aim is to bring into existence work that addresses environmental challenges, shared experiences, and unfolding narratives.

What to expect: Ever wondered about peatlands and why they matter? Inside a Galloway Byre you’ll encounter an immersive installation created to stimulate multiple conversations about peat, our rare peatland habitats, and peatland restoration.

The Clachan Inn, Main Street, Dalry. Great food and friendly pub.

Directions: On the A702, 8 miles from Moniaive and 4 miles from Dalry, is Corriedoo Forest. Drive down the forest track and The Byre is the first building on the left.

Accessibility: The Byre complies with Building Regulations and is fully accessible. There is parking available at the Byre and as you enter the Forest.

I work in precious metals. Weaving tiny stitches in silver thread is absorbing and working in gold is a delight. Making rings, articulated brooches and well balanced necklaces is satisfying and fun, but ultimately the results must be well-finished, functional, comfortable and unique.

What to expect: A different venue (just for Spring Fling) this year, with collections of jewellery in sparkly cabinets for all ages, a working replica of my bench, tools, work-in-progress, techniques, samples, archive pieces, images and, if there's a lull, I may even be working!

Recommendation: Balmaclellan shop supports local suppliers, has a cashpoint, hot and cold snacks and lots more. Sat: 9-4pm, Sun: 9-11am, Mon: 9-probably 4pm.

Directions: I am at The Motte in Balmaclellan village just for Spring Fling. It's 3 doors down from the hall or up from the shop if heading towards Corsock and Crocketford.

Accessibility: On-street parking. Small gravel drive with a ramp over 1 step to the door. All on one level inside, including toilet.

What to expect: Visitors to our workshop can see the paraphernalia of pottery making. Clays and slips, wheels, tools and moulds, slip trailers and kilns. There will be pots in progress and finished pots alongside displays of some of our historic pottery collection to explain our influences.
