The Old Mill is a gallery, bookshop, garden and studio housed in one of the oldest buildings in the port village of Palnackie. In the gallery are works by the resident artists, Edward and Lucy Campbell, as well as from various local artists and crafts people. Visitors will find artworks, cards and prints for sale, alongside a curated selection of books.
Edward and Lucy host creative workshops in the studio above the gallery which focus on making art materials from the natural environment. The studio will be open for the Spring Fling weekend and visitors to The Old Mill will have the chance to have a go at making and testing out our hand-made art materials.
We will be running a pop-up café in the gallery throughout, fingers crossed for glorious weather so you can enjoy a coffee and slice of cake in our garden.
Directions: The Old Mill can be found on the A711 coming from either Dalbeattie or Auchencairn. The direction of the gallery will be marked at the crossroads in the centre of the village.
