Building the walls with concrete needs to be decided early in the planning, Rodgers explained. Virtual Reality House Hunting (VRHH) has made its way to the Colorado Springs market and Peggy Ulmer is the first Realtor to implement this platform in her business. Virtual tours help bring a more realistic view of a home to buyers via 360 degree videos shot and narrated by Ulmer herself, and so far the response has been great! So, how does it work? Ulmer initially sends a list of homes to her clients via the Pikes Peak Association of Realtors’ MLS system matching their search criteria. Her clients then favor up to five homes and Ulmer shoots 360 degree videos that are shared through Facebook. Her clients can use VR goggles, watch the videos on their cell phone or computers at their convenience.
“Typically, buyers watch the videos and can very quickly throw out properties based on factors such as traffic, noise, floor plan and condition,” she said. “They don’t usually get such a realistic view via photos or traditional virtual reality tours.” Plus, it’s a time saver. Ulmer use to FaceTime her clients for a showing and that could take 30 minutes to make sure they saw everything and discuss what they are seeing. This new technology captures the entire home and on average takes six minutes. Ulmer works with several clients relocating to Colorado Springs and this platform has revolutionized her business. “When my clients first watch their videos, they are blown away! They are impressed that they
can see so much of the home and are so appreciative when I send them the videos. And they can view it from the comfort of their own home or as one of my current clients, while on deployment, without making multiple trips to Colorado Springs and wasting
