Whether you’re moving into or out of downtown, or living here for the rest of your life, take some time this Autumn to disconnect from your dayto-day responsibilities. Stroll or bike along our lakes, have
a picnic on the Capitol Square, take in a Badger game or enjoy ice cream at the Union Terrace, or hunt for treasures in our many local shops. We look forward to seeing you around the Isthmus!

The renovation was no small task. Why did you take it on? We are strong believers in historic preservation, and we felt, that with our experience in hospitality, the Inn would be a perfect use to invite the public to experience this historic landmark. What was the most challenging part of the project? Bringing a 19th century building up to 21st Century standards while preserving the historical integrity presented both construction and financial challenges, but our team of TDS Custom Construction and McFarland State Bank were up to the task.
JOIN US! TOUR THE INN TUESDAY, OCT 15TH 4-6PM 130 E. Gilman Street, Downtown Madison Join us for a tour of this historic property and enter a drawing for a complimentary 1-night stay courtesy of the owners. Wine and appetizers will be served.
Is this your first foray into the hospitality business?
What was your most satisfying part of the project?
This is actually the third. We also own and have operated the Mendota Lake House for 7 years, and we took over the Canterbury Inn at the corner of Gorman and State Street.
The incredible feedback from the community and guests who have enjoyed the details of the restoration, the architecture and the history.
