MISTREL

MISTREL is a bright red-stemmed, green chard with thick crunchy leaves that is suitable for inclusion in salad mixes or as a stand-alone product. The leaves of MISTREL are oval shaped with a slightly savoyed texture and wavy leaf margin. MISTREL has high resistance to Cercospera sp. and intermediate resistance to Pseudomonas sp. giving it a premium disease package against leaf spotting. In addition, the leaves hold their colour in warmer conditions and resist leaf miner damage that often discolours other leafy crops. MISTREL is a hybrid.
ROYAL RED
A green chard with bright red stems ideal as an inclusion in salad mixes. ROYAL RED produces a very uniform, even growing crop allowing for ease of harvest. ROYAL RED shows strong tolerance to bacterial spotting, resulting in clean leaves year round. The vivid red stems provide for an unusual colour inclusion in salad mixes while the thick leaves provide texture and weight, even in the faster growing Summer months when the thick leaves allow for extended shelf life.
SIROCCO
SIROCCO is a hybrid green chard with a bright red stem best suited to cool season babyleaf production. SIROCCO shows excellent vigour and uniformity and is a significant improvement in quality and reliability of chard production. Although SIROCCO can be grown year round it has its biggest advantage in the cool and cold of Winter/Spring where the hybrid vigour reduces time to harvest. The red stems of SIROCCO are a ‘low-bleed’ risk - a problem often associated with beets when grown for babyleaf.
