High yielding, CHOPSTICK has good regrowth after cutting and shows good tolerance to downy mildew.

DEEP PURPLE

DEEP PURPLE

An outstanding innovation for babyleaf production, DEEP PURPLE is a red tatsoi which produces attractive purple/magenta leaves. Fast to mature with a growth habit similar to the standard green tatsoi, DEEP PURPLE has bright, glossy coloured leaves and a succulent, mustard flavour. The semi-erect habit means that a high plant population is required to assist leaves to stand up for machine harvesting.

INCA

INCA

INCA is red elk type for babyleaf salad production. INCA differs from Red Antler in that it is coloured on both sides of the leaf and has a thicker leaf due to slightly slower growth making it an ideal warm season variety. Although particularly suited to warm season, INCA can be grown year round and provides better shelf life than many standard mustard products. INCA provides colour and texture to salad mixes and the leaf shape gives good bulk to pillow packs. INCA has a mild brassica flavour and is not over powering.

MIBUNA

MIBUNA

A standard inclusion for babyleaf salad mixes, MIBUNA is an oriental mustard. Producing numerous leaves, MIBUNA consistently yields extremely well providing bulk for salad mixes and has excellent regrowth after cutting. Very fast growing, MIBUNA will produce highly uniform leaves of excellent colour all year round, however the leaves will rapidly become large under hot conditions. The attractive leaves have a pungent mustard flavour.

MIZUNA

MIZUNA

A standard inclusion for babyleaf salad mixes, MIZUNA is an oriental mustard. Producing numerous leaves, MIZUNA consistently yields extremely well providing bulk for salad mixes and has excellent regrowth after cutting. Very fast growing, MIZUNA has limited field hold as the leaves will rapidly become large, but tend not to yellow and have good shelf life. The attractive leaves have a pungent mustard flavour and MIZUNA can be grown year round successfully.

RED ANTLER

RED ANTLER

To add colour and a different leaf shape and texture to your babyleaf salad mix, RED ANTLER is an attractive addition and will process well with good shelf life. A red elk type, RED ANTLER has deeply divided leaves and a strong purple/red colour that will deepen with increasing cold temperatures during its growth. With a mild flavour, RED ANTLER is able to be grown year round.

RED MUSTARD

A standard selection, RED MUSTARD is a very fast growing oriental mustard which produces variegated leaves of red and green colour making it an attractive addition to babyleaf salad mixes. The red colour will dominate under cooler conditions and the green colour becomes more dominant under heat. Due to the fast maturity, RED MUSTARD has limited field hold and a mildly pungent flavour.

RED RUPIAH

RED RUPIAH

An improved red mustard type, RED RUPIAH has a deeper purple/red colour than standard red mustard selections and the colour is uniformly distributed across the leaf with less green on the leaves. A more robust and slightly thicker leaf, RED RUPIAH will hold well in the field and the shelf life postharvest may surpass that of your current red mustard selection. The colour, leaf shape and pungent flavour will add a contrast to green dominated mixes.

TATSOI

TATSOI

A standard inclusion for babyleaf salad mixes, TATSOI is an oriental mustard. Able to be grown all year round, TATSOI performs best under warmer conditions when growth rates are more acceptable for crop scheduling. High yielding, TATSOI has good regrowth after cutting and produces attractive glossy leaves with a slight savoy texture that will add volume to salad mixes.
