Big bums, toned abs and athletic builds have taken over as the new craze for body standards. However, this new surge of plus size figures has a sense of reality to beauty and body standards. Nonetheless, body ideals are part of societal trends which are emphasized by pop culture within the media. What people have to realize is that body ideals are subjective towards true beauty and it hardly focuses on self-love and appreciation, which is abiding throughout all the body ideal transformations.
01.O1 NAIL ART A fresh manicure is the perfect way to add a little something extra to your outfit. While we will always love ballet slipper pink or a classic red, why not try something a little more adventurous for your next manicure? From subtle chic detailing to bold designs, there is something for everyone with this season’s most stylish nail trends – because life is too short for boring nails.
Go graphic with this season’s boldest look.Choosing contrasting colours to turn heads in your direction, or opt for similar shades for amore muted style. Embracing the 90s with a holographic CD inspired nail. This eye-catching look is easily achieved with a special pigment made up of tiny reflective particles.Coined by Instagram nail star Jessica Washick, this manicure is for the old school folk. It has a holographic look...just like your (or your moms!) favorite CD.Nude and White Minimal Detail is one of the biggest trend.The pearl nail trend has been brewing for some time now. The best thing about this trend is how versatile it is.Gingham seems to be everywhere at the moment, and the trend isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. 02.O1 THE YOGA SKIN Yoga is red, splotchy, and most definitely drenched in sweat. Yoga skin is something a little less indicative of exertion and a little more like how one's complexion could look after regular yoga inevitably leads to your inner peace beaming out through your pores. Sara Hill, a makeup artist based in the U.K., has been sharing photos of a radiant look that she has hashtagged #yogaskin, and thanks to a video in which she posts a step-by-step tutorial, it's catching on with other makeup artists and beauty fans. "Icreated [the yoga skin technique] to make the skin look lit from within,"she says in the caption. "Healthy, glowing, hydrated, radiant, sheer, and natural. Skin that looks like skin at its very best." The caption goes on to break down the process into several steps, starting with cleansing and prepping your skin as you normally would,and letting your skin-care products fully absorb before moving on to primer.Next comes the cocktailing, which is arguably the key to creating this look.Hill mixes three or four pumps of liquid foundation, one drop of face oil, and on drop of liquid highlighter. The look is topped off with the cream blush or bronzer of your choice, and Hill says you can set the look with a very light dusting of powder. "No baking, please," she writes, also warning against using any setting sprays that contain alcohol. The best part of "yoga skin" is that this dewy look is gorgeous with minimal eye and lip makeup, but it works well with more color and intensity, too. That's made apparent by not only Hill's photos, but those shared by others who are following the trend.
03.O1 80S REDUX HAIRSTYLE
At Louis Vuitton's fall show it was all about the 1980s. Hair was parted deep over to one side and styled to cover one eye. To make the look more 2019 than 1989, don't overdo it with hairspray or styling products. Hair should still look touchable. Wearing a sparkly scrunchie ponytail styled off to one side. This look is pure fun.
04.O1 THE ATHLETIC SHAPE In athletic body trend is body is strong, usually on the straight-up-and-down side, and this season it’s the ‘hotbod’ with so many fun ways to dress. This shape looks great in almost everything, this body has the ability to flaunt or conceal as much as one feel comfortable with and balance is easily obtained like yin and yang with your figure. So what’s an athletic or rectangle shape? You’re not particularly curvy Your shoulders and hip measurements are nearly the same Your waist isn’t very small or well-defined, but rather straight up and down Your weight is fairly evenly distributed throughout your body The key to dressing an athletic or rectangular shape is to balance your broad upper half by accentuating your legs and other curves.It’s all about remembering the athletic shape rule of thumb: Keep the volume on top or bottom. If you go for an oversized top shape, keep the bottom skinny or structured. With a more form-fitting top, pick a breezy ormore oversized pant style.
