Traditional dancing : There are three main styles of Sri Lankan classical dance: •

The Kandyan dances of the Hill Country, known as Uda Rata Natum.

The low country dances of the southern plains, known as Pahatha Rata Natum.

Sabaragamuwa dances, or Sabaragamuwa Natum

Traditional drumming : Drums are usually played by striking with the hand, or with one or two sticks. In many traditional cultures, drums have a symbolic function and are used in religious ceremonies. Drums are often used in music therapy, especially hand drums, because of their tactile nature and easy use by a wide variety of people.

Sinhanese language classes : Sinhala or Sinhalese is the official language of Sri Lanka. It is spoken by about 14 million people, living mainly in the southern and western two-thirds of the island. Sinhala descended from Sanskrit, and was brought to Sri Lanka by settlers from northern India in the 5th century B.C. The alphabet, however, with its generally rounded letters, more closely resembles those of the Dravidian languages of southern India. The English words "tourmaline" and "beriberi" are of Sinhalese origin.

Stage drama: A dramatic work include music and dance. Opera is generally sung throughout, and include ballet; musicals generally include both spoken dialogue, and songs, and may also include dancing; and some plays, melodrama and Japanese, for example, have incidental music, or musical accompaniment underscoring the dialogue. In certain periods of history, including ancient Rome and the nineteenth century, some dramas were written to be read rather than performed. In improvisation there is no script and performers devise their performance spontaneously before an audience.

In short , SLF performing arts center is a multi-use performance space that is intended for use by various types of the performing arts, including dance, music and theatre.
