Though it’s a small country but known as a traveler’s paradise that contains Unesco World Heritage locations. The gorgeous beaches and coasts could attract even the most exhausted travelers. The plethora of activities makes it a top destination to visit.

Iconic beaches Sri Lanka is quite literally surrounded by iconic beaches offering pristine natural beauty. Arugam Bay, Unawatuna, Mirissa, Bentota and Induruwa are world renowned beaches on the island, and the most popular among visitors. These beaches are all within a stone's throw from colonial era villas and luxury hotels where travelers can relax and take in the crystal clear Indian Ocean. Take a stroll through ancient ruins or just grab a bite to eat of the famously spicy Sri Lankan cuisine.


Sri Lankan food and dining

This beautiful country may be a small island, but the food is big on flavor. Prepared with with unique blends of spices and herbs, dishes like kottu roti, fish curry or even the sides like the ever-present pol sambol have flavors that are complex and unlike anywhere else on Earth. And what you'll find travelling from village to village, the local fare is made with its own special touch from each chef.


Buddhism Buddhism has existed on the island since the third century BCE, and has maintained its presence the entire time. This unsurprisingly makes it a huge factor in the culture of nearly every part of the island. The religion's presence in Sri Lanka can be seen everywhere. There are temples that date back centuries and even millennia, with one particular temple in Kandy holding a physical relic of the Lord Buddha. And, as part of the Buddhist tradition, monthly poya days are massive festivals that are accompanied with hours or sometimes days-long peraheras (parades).

Art Galleries Art lovers will discover something amazing with the National Art Gallery of Sri Lanka. You can also experience the joy of visiting the Lionel Wendt Center and the Sapumal Foundation. It is amazing to witness and evaluate some things that may be dissimilar from culture.

Yala National Park

The Yala national park is one of the most popular and world famous parks in Sri Lanka. It offers amazing, endemic wildlife and an up close experience with the island's nature. This park is home to elephants,Sambar deer, crocodiles and well over a hundred different kinds birds. Every year, visitors from all over the world come to enjoy Yala’a preserved beauty.


Visit Colombo

Sri Lanka’s biggest city, Colombo is not just a gateway for visitors, but this booming city has a lot to offer as a destination too. Whether you are looking for a nightclub, shopping, pubs, a world class massage, or a city full of history, Colombo has it all. The city is a cricket fan’s dream, as it’s home to R Premadasa Stadium and some of Sri Lanka’s most rabid fans.

Dambulla Cave Temple If you are fond of mural arts and statues, you should visit the Dambulla Cave Temple in Sri Lanka. This wonderful cave has150 Buddha statues that are spread across five interconnected cave temples that date back centuries. It serves as both a tourist attraction and buddhist pilgrimage destination.


Bambarakada Falls Bambarakada Falls is a stunning sight to view as it’s one of the tallest waterfalls in Sri Lanka. It is situated within a deep valley and bordered by massive rocks and pine trees. At 240 meters tall, this waterfall has always been a preferred spot for intrepid travelers looking for adventure and a natural wonder.
