THE RAMP CAFETERIA Ahmedabad, India
The intent of this studio was to have a dynamic environment which attracts different kinds of people to engage in various activities. The design was an attempt to establish a relationship between material and form. The studio aimed at understanding an interaction of material with it’s architectural form. The cafeteria serves as a center of social interaction, with three interconnected spaces; a cafe, an exihibition space and a small performance space. The main concept of the design revolves around keeping the spaces connected visually from all the spaces, and the main design element which helps achieve circulation and connection is the ‘The Ramp’.

Housing in context of Rising Urbanization Ahmedabad, India
The studio was aimed at designing a housing in an environment conductive for co existence analysing on to what the site offers in terms of it’s resources, economic situations, historic context and existing typology. My design concept was to inhabit the community spaces in relation to my unit design and my site placement. The process that I took forward focused on responding to ‘part to whole’ and ‘whole to part’. Addressing the existing pre-historical context of Dariyapur. Developing the housing in relation to the past, present and the future. Site Analysis

Manoharshala - Rural Community Center Ahmedabad, India
The studio focused at designing a Community Center in Shilaj. The design process involved documenting Shilaj and mapping it s people, movements, culture as well as building typology of the village. Understanding their community and activities was important to design a center which would cater to their needs. My design concept revolved around providing a center for people facilitatiting them with functional as well as recreational spaces. The developement of the design revolved around spaces working indiviually but together.

Ahmedabad, India
The workshop aimed at mapping a part of the old city, where we tried to understand different aspects of planning at the city level. This involved documentation with maps, photos, videos, sketches and proposals. The city was thoroughly understood in aspects like heights, age of the buildings, drainage slopes, parking, waste management, destroyed and ruined buildings and vegetation. The set of maps were then used to give different proposals to the city for arising problems in field of environment, planning, architecture, social issues etc. LEGEND
