Logo & logotype The primary logo for the state West Bengal is a simple wordmark incorporated as a symbol. The main concept as clearly visible is inspired from the very famous “Howar bridge” located in Kolkata. Amongst all the aspects that the state is known for, the bridge is one of most famous ones. The main reasons behind using this bridge to portray the state is the mental connect to the state people automatically feel when talking about the bridge.

The logo is very minimalistic and is designed using basic lines to help audiences recall or recollect easily. The tagling “India’s Bhaalo Bhaasha” has been creatively placed keeping in mind the most famous bengali line known by every tom,dick and harry, “aami tomake bhaalo bhaashi”. It basically describes any bengali you’ll ever see, extremelt sweet and full of love.

Color variatoins The color varients for the logo have been carefully chosen keeping in mind the colours which truly define West Bengal. The primary colors are raddish maroon and white typically associated with bengali women and beauty. These two colors are adorned in the form of a saree and also in the form of typical bengali bangles worn as a symbol of marriage. All the colors selected impart a feeling associated with the state.

Do's & Dont's A few rules are nencessary to mintain the integrity of the logo. Do not compromise the look of the logo by rotating, skewing or distorting in any way - that includes adding unnecessary and unnattractive text decorations like drop shadows and outlines.
