DUSSHERA-DIWALI FUN ACTIVITIES AGE GROUP : 2 - 4 YEARS

Paper Diya Materials Required

1) Card or craft paper in different colors 2) Pencil or pen for drawing the outline of the Diya 3) Craft scissor 4) Thread or string 5) Craft glue 6) Beads for decoration

Lets Do It !!! 1) First, cut papers in the round shapes for the bodies of the diyas. 2) Cut inverted ‘V’ shapes for the flames. 3) Next, the round shapes will have to be folded. Each cutout will have to be folded in half. 4) Now, the assembly of the Diya begins (folded papers of various colors can also be chosen to give the Diya a multicolored effect) 5) Next, the inverted ‘v’ shape of the flame of the Diya should be folded in half vertically. 6) The body of the Diya should be attached to the flame with the help of either glue (to create individual diyas) or with thread (to create an ornament with more than one diyas).

Follow the below steps: 1) cut the picture cards and number cards as per the given outline 2)use how much ever number cards as you want to knock your child memory. 3)first place the number card and then place the picture card above the numbers by showing sequence to the child (helps to indicate the sequence of the picture) 4)after some time remove the picture card and let ask the child to arrange the same card in a sequence.
