We can neither confirm nor deny the rumors that The Grasshopper is actually a tribute to Mr. Miyagi.

(Okay, yeah we can, it wasn’t.)

The Grasshopper was named for the insects flexibility, minute carbon footprint, and migratory nature. We were also attracted to its freedom and the idea that even the lowliest grasshopper deserves some respect and a good night’s rest. Since we’re running this hostel for humans, we figured we’d throw in the free breakfast too.

Dear Grasshopper, This is embarrassing. I think I lost a shoe during my stay. Just one, a navy blue flip flop. I was staying in room 203 with three friends. Is there any chance that someone’s found it? I’d really like to have it back.
