The champion's fork XC | MARATHON RACE | AXON RC

The AXON fork is our state of the art racing fork. The Axon has been the focus of continuous technological advances during its life-cycle, benefitting from magnesium lowers, hollow forged crowns, the electrical lockout system and the patented Q-LOC quick release thru axle system. Our latest development is another giant leap forward in terms of the inner damping technology as well as the outer design. The bottom case is made of carbon which saves about 63g and the new cartridge system saves another 60g. In total we tip the scales at a mere 1500 g including the new Q-loc titanium axle (69g). The AXON RC carbon suspension fork is also available with CTS (conical tapered steerer). All our technological pioneering is race proven; the AXON RC fork, is currently being used by our French XC champion and World Cup leader in U23 category Julie Bresset from the BH SRSUNTOUR team.

A motor actuator within the rightside stanchion of the fork locks or unlocks the compression. It needs 0,5 sec to switch to ON or OFF position. The battery and the controller (brain) are within the steerer. The battery type is Lithium CR 123A. The controller (brain) has a vibration sensor which automatically switches off the electric flow, if during 5 minutes no shock has been given to the fork. The lifetime of the battery is approx. 50.000 switches.

My elder brother Ludovic, 4 years older than me, is not a great athlete but still he is one of my most avid supporters, and I simply love it how he adds to the vibe at the races, cheering for me. Season after season, I have had the chance to improve as a racer in national and international races. At the start of the 2010 campaign I joined the BH SRSuntour team to have the best team support in France. My season has been incredible, with four World Cup victories in under the 23 category and ever present in the top 6 at scratch. At Val d’isère, in front of my family, I became the French National Champion...what huge emotion! The team is very well organized and they have all the resources I need to be as competitive as possible. This year my mountain bike choice has been BH’s Ultimate model, which is quite a big change for me as it’s the first time I've ridden on a full-carbon frame with an integrated seatpost. This makes for a very rigid yet extremely effective frame both when cruising at high speeds and when accelerating.

UCI XC WORLD CUP In the men’s race, Martin Fanger got started at full throttle: Starting from 32nd position, he moved up to 24th position by the end of the first of a total of seven laps. For the remainder of the race, he kept on passing rider by rider, finally finishing in a 13th overall position. In the under23 category this meant an outstanding 2nd place-finish.

In Champery, with my fully, I rode to my best Worldcup result to date; I was 2nd on the podium in the under 23 category and 13th overall. In the days leading up to the race the weather didn't look 'fully friendly'. The heavy rain made the course so muddy that it was impossible to ride every section and so it was necessary to shoulder the bike in places. On race day it had dried out a little and the race organiser shovelled away sludge from parts of the course. I plumped for my fully, the Anthem Team Edition with the Axon CTS. AXON WORLD The size of the RLD cartridge body has been reduced. Due to the reduction of oil and materials, 60 gramms have been saved. Not only has the weight of the Axon been reduced, but also the performance has been increased. The compression damping has been modified to give the fork a more sensitive reaction to small bumps. Besides this the air piston shape was changed to be able to achieve a higher level of compression, which will prevent the fork from plunging and therefore results in improved downhill performance.

The smart fork XC | ALL MOUNTAIN | TRAIL | EPICON LOD CTS QLC15

Smart things are versatile, we all know it from our electronical gadgets. Smart also characterises highly optimized products which meet our requirements perfectly. The EPICON is a fork which can justifiably called smart. Built on the 32mm stanchion platform the fork parts are as lightweight as our cross country forks. The TAD travel adjuster offers travel from 100mm up to 150mm which comfortably fits to All Mountain full suspension bikes. Equipped with the Q-LOC 15mm system the EPICON accomodates lighter wheels without losing stiffness. The optional CTS steerer also gives enormous stiffness without adding ridiculous weight. The EPICON is an Alpcross proven fork on climbs as well as on decents by weighing well under the 2kg mark. Whatsmore the EPICON is also available as 29" version, equipped with the same features as its 26" brothers.

ALL MOUN TAIN TOUR Monte Tamaro with Roger Rinderknecht and Adrian Kiener

End of June Roger and I had a little break from 4cross racing and the time was right to ride some trails high up in the mountains far away from race tracks. Together with the SR Suntour film- and video crew we took this awesome daytrip to Monte Tamaro in Switzerland. It was the first time for all of us, so everybody was excited. We were lucky with the weather and the trails were just perfect. After four hours steep uphill climbing we stopped by in this little restaurant for lunch. We got delicous Swiss Alpen-food leaving everybody was ready to destroy elevation, the trails down the hill were so much fun to ride we had to force ourdelves to stop to take pictures. The Megavalanche fork ENDURO | ALL MOUNTAIN | MEGAVALANCHE | DUROLUX TAD CTS

Which category of riding does Megavalanche fall under? Basically it's riding down a big mountain from the glacier to the bottom of the valley but having said that, it's not as aggressive as world cup downhill. It's much more extended and diversified than a World Cup Downhill, with several climbs featuring along the course. So...why is the Durolux fork perfect for this kind of ride? The fork's travel (max. 180mm) offers enough of a safety buffer for big hits on the rocky section after the glacier. The new RCA cartridge offers you the perfect set up for big hits as well as high speed single trails. The TAD travel adjuster will help you to reduce the travel on the climbing section and you'll hardly notice the weight (approx 2300g) on the climbs. And in case you get bummed by a puncture, you'll be the fastest to replace the tube thanks to the button boosted QLOC quick release. The fork is available with a CTS conical tapered steerer as well as with 1.5 steerer. Our French young gun Loic Bruni has won the Junior's class of the Megavalanche on the Durolux fork, 3 years in a row.

descending together is a lot more fun Some might consider it adventure enough to straddle their mountain bike at 3000 metres above sea level and cross glacier, rocky trails and alpine meadows but for others you need the additional 200 competitors to make it truly adventurous; we're taling...Megavalanche. Alpe dâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;Huez carries legendary status with cycling enthusiasts mainly for mountain top finishes in the Tour de France. Mountain bikers are a bit different however: If they hear the name of the French ski resort, they think Megavalanche. This classic long-distance downhill race attracted more than 2000 particcipants from more than 31 countries this year. The MĂŠgavalanche course is extremely demanding for the riders. Directly after the start on the Pic Blanc at 3300 metres above sea level thereâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s a power-sapping section across the Sarenne glacier which stretches out the field early on in the race. The course then runs through some wildly rocky terrain, onto alpine tracks and finally snakes into single trails through the forest to the finish line. After 30 lung busting kilometres, a total of 2600 muscle burning vertical metres and a draining hour, the riders reach the finish in Allemont. And whatever position they finish in, every single one of them who finishes justifiably feels like a winner.

Dirt jump forks have a hard life. When you pull off your first big trick on dirt or in the skate park you'll throw your bike away in celebration. If you fail, you'll throw it in disgus. Either way the fork always suffers, regardless of whether it's a clean huge gap or your first ever table jump. But you'll never hear your fork complaining. We've invested countless hours in the design and engineering of the new Duo DJ dirt jump fork; especially made for all the requirements of our "duro" dirt jump team. The low profile preload adjuster makes sure there is no collision danger with the down tube while spinning your handlebar. We've reinforced the crown area and the fork brace with the all new magnesium monocoque bottom case design and we've even shaved off weight (not that it was necessary). The duro DJ is also equipped with the QLOC thru axle system. By the way: have a coin with you...you'll need them for our lowprofile preload adjuster.

The SR SUNTOUR DURO team riders are all a bit on the crazy side, whether it’s DJ, slope-style or street/urban. Our motivation behind supporting the SR SUNTOUR DURO team is to give young, talented riders the means to develop both their skills as a rider and themselves as rounded personalities, equipping them for the life of a pro rider. In addition we support established professional riders like Marius Hoppensack, Thomas Öhler and Felix Rosendahl by equipping them with the tools they need to push themselves and the sport to the limits. It goes without saying that the riders play a key role in product development by giving rider feedback on the latest developments. The DURO Team is divided into two sections; the SR SUNTOUR DURO ROOKIES team which features Andi Brewi, Pete Henke and Ludwig Jäger. These riders represent the future of the sport and one of their aims is to graduate to the DURO PRO team and ride alongside such riders as Marius Hoppensack and Felix Rosendahl. Felix is a fine example of how the SR SUNTOUR DURO Team system works. People would classify the Raidon X1 as an "intermediate" fork in terms of the price level, but you will quickly realise it's surprisingly well equipped. Using some mutual parts taken from its high-end brothers, the Raidon offers features such as the hydraulic remote speed lock-out, the new rebound damping adjuster, a magnesium monocoque bottom case with Q-LOC axle and a 29" option. Oh... and we almost forgot to mention, this is an air suspension fork. The fork travel is convertible from 80, 100, 120 to even 140 mm (option). Sport cross is the combination of high speed road cycling and cyclocross like trail riding. Though it's not officially a 'competition category' of cycling you're nevertheless keen to go fast and that's why you're looking for high-end technology in the fork. All the features such as the electric lock out system, the hollow forged crown and the new adjustable rebound damping cartridge are race proven technologies.

The new NCX fork design concept is based on the philosophy of integrating all the features into a one piece look; you won't find any exposed add-ons. The lamp holder is hidden in the fork brace and the top caps for the lockout system and air chamber are integrated into the crown shape. Even the cable routing is hidden out of view behind the bottom case. The NCX II model is compatible with Shimano's 8mm E-thru axle system.
