1. Total cooling requirement: Under the SCS scenario, it is assumed that the Total Cooling Requirement for India to meet the target of Cooling for All substantially reduces by 65-70% compared to the Baseline requirement by 2037. Figure 37 below shows the comparison of Total Cooling Requirement (demand) for the scenarios along with % of reduction.

Cooling energy demand: It is observed that under the Sustainable Cooling Scenario the total cooling energy demand also declines significantly compared to baseline energy demand by 2037. The estimated reduction is more than 50% of the baseline which clearly satisfies the ICAP target of 25~40% reduction. Figure 38 shows the percentage change in cooling energy demand compared to the Baseline condition.
