Cooling capacity addition: It is estimated that implementing the ICAP SCS scenario there would be around 160 Million TR of refrigerant based cooling capacity addition is required in India by 2037-38 compared to 70 Million TR in 2017 which may further go up to 250 Million TR by 2047. It is also estimated that there would be a capacity addition requirement of approximately 1250 million units of fans and 70 million units of evaporative coolers in the country to meet the cooling demand by 2037.
