From our community of Dreamer & Doers here in the U.S. to our team of Makers & Shakers in Uganda, here at Sseko, we are inviting you into a truly global sisterhood. Color Theory: SY RAH Like a fine wine, sisters only get better with age. We were so inspired to learn that Syrah wine was originally created by unexpected blending of “two obscure grapes” from southern France to create something rich, dimensional and full-bodied. It’s a reminder that sometimes sisters are not only the ones we are given from birth but also the “obscure grapes” who surprise us on our journey and show up just when we need them most. From France to Chile to South Africa to Australia, much like Syrah grapes, sisterhood is found throughout the world.

Color Theory: S A ND STONE Sandstone is created from tiny grains of sand and minerals that, when joined together, make a strong, unique, and evolving structure. We couldn’t think of a more perfect symbol for sisterhood. When we stand beside one another, we become strong and unstoppable. We choose to embrace the friction that sometimes occurs when we’re joined with one another and celebrate the strength that comes through the times of intense pressure. We truly are better and braver together.
