The St. Mary’s Academy Annual Fund supports programs that allow our students to explore their curiosities, creativity, and passions to build a brighter future. While tuition covers a large portion of our budget, the Annual Fund is essential to producing enriching academic, creative, social, and athletic experiences for our students. We depend on the generosity of our parents, grandparents, friends, alumnae, and staff to support our school. We strive for 100% participation from our faculty, staff, Board of Trustees, Alumnae Board, and parents, and at least 10% from alumnae and grandparents. Alumnae participation in the Annual Fund demonstrates their love for their alma mater and how St. Mary’s Academy impacted their lives. On Colorado Gives Day alone, SMA raised more than $224,000 for the Annual Fund and tuition assistance, including $27,757 from alumnae. Every gift, no matter the size, is appreciated. In the 20212022 school year, over 8% of alumnae contributed $66,854 to the Annual Fund. you

Stories: Why
Alumnae Stories: Why I Give Back
“I look back on my four years at SMA fondly and feel very fortunate to have attended St. Mary’s Academy. I’m grateful for the foundation I received from the rigorous courses and supportive teachers. As an alumna, I’m excited about the new programs that have been introduced since I graduated, such as the robotics team and DECA, which give young women early exposure to engineering and business. I give back to SMA so that current and future Wildcats can continue to thrive.”
Alumnae I Give Back
Cecilia Lorenz ‘10
“My four sisters and I graduated from SMA and all four of my children attended SMA, as well. St. Mary’s provided an outstanding education and so much more. It instilled a deep sense of community, compassion and fundamental values in all of us. SMA also cultivated leadership skills, a strong sense of self and a desire to give back. My St. Mary’s friends are still my close friends today. I give in gratitude for all St. Mary’s has done for me and my family and so that St. Mary’s can continue to provide these opportunities to others.”
