SPRING USEF/USEA H.T.
April 30, 2022
welcome Dear friends, We would like to welcome you to Stable View, some of you for the second time within a month! The Area III eventing calendar is chock full this time of year, and so next year, primarily as a result of the USEF Pathway Program, it will be five weeks between our Spring H.T. visits rather than this year's four. As we see it, our job is to continue to differentiate between what will be a 4*, 3*, 2* and upper level National show, and separately a National show that is inclusive of levels to Starter. The prize money and the entry cost will also be further differentiated as we attempt to continue with Stable View's mission of being inclusive to all levels of eventing. When comparing last year's total entries between the two April events, we are happy with an overall upward trajectory: 2021 saw 180 and 160 entries, respectively; and 2022 finished with 320 and 138 entries, respectively. We’ve pulled out all of the stops to get you here! We have not only put more momentum behind digital marketing with paid social media posts, but as a first, we did not charge a late entry fee. This was a one-off departure from business as usual. We appreciate early entries (on behalf of the office, especially!) and therefore do not want to encourage riders to delay their commitment. Please don’t forget to Graze and Gaze with us on Friday evening in the Pavilion from 5.00pm until 7.00pm. Please also spread the word among your supporters and friends that we will have the LRK3DE streaming live upstairs in the Pavilion. We’re looking forward to seeing you, The Stable View Team.

A BIRDER'S PARADISE
FREE TO BEE Having started in early spring with five nucleus colonies (also known as "nucs") from a local bee supplier, Stable View's bees have grown to eleven, almost twelve, hives with healthy queens. Over the summer, we have supported the bees' efforts to build up and prepare for winter. Our goal is to contribute to healthy pollinators in our area, and share the sweet fruits of their labor!
This time last year, Stable View had one resident Red-Cockaded Woodpecker. Today, we have ten (six adults and four juveniles)! Additionally, by increasing our number of nest boxes we have helped many of our feathered friends thrive: this year, we have fledged 200+ Eastern Bluebirds (an increase of 50% compared to last year); a pair of Eastern Screech Owls fledged two young; and the American Kestrels fledged all five nestlings from the same nest box as in previous years. According to our expert, Mark Pavlosky of MPJ Wildlife, we expect to observe many migrant species working their way South early this fall. We look forward to hosting bird watchers who wish to view native, rare, or endangered species on their lists!
HISTORICALLY, "A GATHERING PLACE" Set out afoot–or ahoof–on our 15 miles of marked trails, each named in honor of local Native American tribes, where you may see evidence of our prescribed fires, which increase plant diversity, perpetuate endangered species, allow wildlife easier access to food sources, restore nutrients back into the soil, and reduce the risk of wildfires.

Capall Pulse Therapy The benefits of PEMF therapy for horses include but are not limited to faster recovery, improved performance, increased microcirculation and improved suppleness. This crosses over to humans as well. We also receive benefits of reduced anxiety, immune system support and repairing damaged tissue. Capall Pulse Therapy offers low frequency and high frequency treatments for both equine and human athletes.
