EVENTING
ACADEMY Schooling Horse Trials August 12, 13 & 14, 2022
A gentle reminder regarding the fast approaching Oktoberfest (September 23 25). This is the highlight of Stable View's year. It’s a thrilling weekend for both spectators and riders This year as usual, we will host classic cars from Aiken Horsepower, lots of vendors, and some great hospitality opportunities including our new Tailgate on the Turf for action packed viewing (email dave@stableviewfarm.com for tailgating details). If you are planning on joining us for our Spring FEI CCI S 2/3/4* and USEF/USEA H T April 7-9, 2022, please know this event occurs during The Masters Golf Tournament, therefore housing in Aiken will be limited. Please make arrangements as early as possible. We hope you have a great ride this weekend. With best wishes, The Stable View Team Cover image of Rachel Liebelt & Sir Eske by Christine Quinn Photography
welcome
Dear friends, It’s good to have you here at Stable View for another Eventing Academy For anyone new to our Eventing Academies, they start on Friday with just schooling for Cross Country, and continue on Saturday with the opportunity to school Dressage, Stadium or Cross Country.
On Sunday, the day is designed to simulate a recognized H T , (without the pressure!) , however entry fees remain at schooling prices. You can expect an Announcer, Judges, an event Program, and all Cross Country fences are staked, leveled and decorated. On Saturday evenings and Fridays when there is enough demand you are invited to our Graze and Gaze where you will find a charcuterie board with wine, beer, cider, water, and sodas. It’s a fun weekend of riding and fellowship. However, it wouldn't be an Eventer's "event" if a little more competition weren't involved! Individual and Trainer points accumulated throughout the year (December through November) are totaled up for the Eventing Academy Year End Awards in November, with upwards of $20,000 in prizes You can view current standings on our Results page at svfequestrian.com.

FREE TO BEE
Having started in early spring with five nucleus colonies (also known as "nucs") from a local bee supplier, Stable View's bees have grown to eleven, almost twelve, hives with healthy queens Over the summer, we have supported the bees' efforts to build up and prepare for winter. Our goal is to contribute to healthy pollinators in our area, and share the sweet fruits of their labor!
HISTORICALLY, "A GATHERING PLACE"
A BIRDER'S PARADISE
This time last year, Stable View had one resident Red Cockaded Woodpecker Today, we have ten (six adults and four juveniles)! Additionally, by increasing our number of nest boxes we have helped many of our feathered friends thrive: this year, we have fledged 200+ Eastern Bluebirds (an increase of 50% compared to last year); a pair of Eastern Screech Owls fledged two young; and the American Kestrels fledged all five nestlings from the same nest box as in previous years According to our expert, Mark Pavlosky of MPJ Wildlife, we expect to observe many migrant species working their way South early this fall. We look forward to hosting bird watchers who wish to view native, rare, or endangered species on their lists!
Set out afoot or ahoof on our 15 miles of marked trails, each named in honor of local Native American tribes, where you may see evidence of our prescribed fires, which increase plant diversity, perpetuate endangered species, allow wildlife easier access to food sources, restore nutrients back into the soil, and reduce the risk of wildfires
