"OKTOBERFEST" FEI CCI-S 4*/3*/2* & USEF/USEA HORSE TRIALS September 23 25, 2022
Dear friends,
Stable View's inaugural horse trials took place on September 27th and 28th of 2014. That first year there were 127 entries.
Now known as "Oktoberfest," this will be the third year in a row with 350 or more entries! This progress and consistency is something to be proud of and we would like to thank our friends, volunteers, spectators and riders, grooms, and owners for their ongoing support.
In 2023, Stable View will celebrate its 10th anniversary, and we look forward to more good news. Primarily, with expected tough times ahead and having committed a few months ago that Stable View's pricing would remain unchanged next year, we hope this helps competitors' budgets stretch a little further. In addition, we will soon be announcing a significantly revamped program of events for 2023, which will be good for Stable View, for Aiken, and for those Hunters and Jumpers traveling along the Eastern Seaboard.
As we continue to develop Stable View, we would like to thank you for being here. We’d also like to thank VTO Saddlery and FITS Riding for their generosity in terms of prizes. As a result of their commitments, a total of $20,000 of gift certificates await the fortunate winners.
And last but not least, we are grateful for our colleagues without whose hard work these shows could not be run.
On behalf of the entire Stable View Team, welcome to a great weekend of Eventing!
welcome

FREE TO BEE
Having started in early spring with five nucleus colonies (also known as "nucs") from a local bee supplier, Stable View's bees have grown to eleven, almost twelve, hives with healthy queens Over the summer, we have supported the bees' efforts to build up and prepare for winter. Our goal is to contribute to healthy pollinators in our area, and share the sweet fruits of their labor!
A BIRDER'S PARADISE
This time last year, Stable View had one resident Red Cockaded Woodpecker Today, we have ten (six adults and four juveniles)! Additionally, by increasing our number of nest boxes we have helped many of our feathered friends thrive: this year, we have fledged 200+ Eastern Bluebirds (an increase of 50% compared to last year); a pair of Eastern Screech Owls fledged two young; and the American Kestrels fledged all five nestlings from the same nest box as in previous years
According to our expert, Mark Pavlosky of MPJ Wildlife, we expect to observe many migrant species working their way South early this fall.
We look forward to hosting bird watchers who wish to view native, rare, or endangered species on their lists!
HISTORICALLY, "A GATHERING PLACE"
Set out afoot or ahoof on our 15 miles of marked trails, each named in honor of local Native American tribes, where you may see evidence of our prescribed fires, which increase plant diversity, perpetuate endangered species, allow wildlife easier access to food sources, restore nutrients back into the soil, and reduce the risk of wildfires
Capall Pulse Therapy
The benefits of PEMF therapy for horses include but are not limited to faster recovery, improved performance, increased microcirculation and improved suppleness. This crosses over to humans as well. We also receive benefits of reduced anxiety, immune system support and repairing damaged tissue. Capall Pulse Therapy offers low frequency and high frequency treatments for both equine and human athletes.
