2

Cut a piece of FIMOair light off the block and flatten slightly using your hand.

Print out the pattern sheet and cut out the egg templates.

Place the clay on the work surface (a sheet of glass is best for this purpose) and use the acrylic roller to roll it out until it is 0.5 cm thick.

Next, place the paper motif on the sheet of FIMOair light and press on gently so that it doesn‘t move. Cut the motif out along the lines with the kitchen knife. Remove any surplus FIMO.

3

If it is to be hung up later, make a hole near the top of the Easter egg using a bead piercing needle. The hole should be slightly larger than the cord as it will shrink somewhat during the drying process.

Smooth over the edges of the cut-out Easter egg using your finger or a modelling stick.

Now harden the FIMO Easter eggs in the microwave for approx. 5 minutes at 600 watts.

Once cool and dry, smoothen the Easter egg using a FIMO accessoires sanding sponge.

6

Paint the Easter egg with pastel-coloured acrylic paints and leave to dry.

Important: A glass of cold water (approx. 125 ml = 1/3 l) must be placed in the microwave too in order to prevent an overheating! Harden within 1 hour of modelling. Should the egg still not be dry, allow to cool a little, turn it over and then harden again in the microwave for another approx. 5 minutes. Important: Replace the water with fresh cold water (125 ml) and put in the microwave again too.

Variation: Sweet-looking Easter place cards The eggs make attractive table decorations too. Simply pull a length of ribbon through the hole, attach the name card and wrap loosely around the serviette.

For the ‚icing‘, mix a little wood glue together with the same quantity of acrylic paint until you are left with a thick consistency.

Finish the eggs off by decorating them. To do so, sprinkle deco beads in different colours and sizes over the wood glue / paint mixture while it‘s still wet.

Then apply with the brush and spread over the surface like icing.

Once everything is thoroughly dry, cover the egg with a coat of FIMO accessoires semi-gloss varnish. Finally, use a piece of satin ribbon or cream-coloured wool to hang the egg up with.
