Legends and Bridge

Director’s Notes
When I first met Stephen (the playwright), it was online discussing something having to do with theatre and the arts and we instantly connected. We got each other! When he mentioned that I should read “Legends and Bridge”, I thought, sure, why not!? Being a fan of all 3 Legends was the fun part. But by the time I finished it, I was all about directing it! I knew Stephen had played Bette in the original staging and I couldn't wait until I found my own drag performers to do the same. I also had to find a theater that would do an unknown property, that was, shall we say, out of the conservative norms. And bless my soul, the gang at StageCoach Theatre said, “Bring it!!” I live for this show! The snark, the inside jokes, the beautifully written dialog. It is a rampant romp with more than a touch of naughty! I did get a drag performer, but not for Bette...which was great! The cast came together and formed an amazing show. You will definitely see these Legends at their best and worst and laugh your A$$ off! Just like I've been doing since I first read it. And while Stephen and I have yet to meet in person...I love him like a brother and I want to thank him for never giving up on letting me direct this fabulous show and being the "mother to this mother"! Cheers!

All that glitters is not gold in the American Gilded Age; a struggle between the leisure of the rich and the safety of the poor unfolds in a small Pennsylvania valley. This original play carries on the legacy of those whose lives were forever altered on May 31, 1889 by a disaster the likes of which the country had never seen. Delve into whether it was homicidal negligence or an Act of God that caused the greatest loss of American civilian life up until September 11, 2001. Based on a true story.
Performances will be held on March 23, 24, 30, and 31 at 7:30pm at StageCoach Theatre in Ashburn, VA.

Legends and Bridge
Ryan Kincade (Joan Crawford) is a Minnesota native living in the DC area for nearly 25 years. This is his first theatre credit, but he has been performing regularly as his drag alter-ego, Anja Dick, for years. Studying Joan has really awakened the bitch within and he couldn’t be more excited.

Stacy Crickmer (Judy Garland) has been obsessed with Judy Garland since age 4. Other favorite roles include: StageCoach - Sven (A Don't Hug Me Christmas Carol); PWLTMary Patrick (Sister Act); Zemfira Stage - Glinda (Wizard of Oz), Paulette (Legally Blonde), Lady of the Lake (Spamalot); Alliance Theatre - Mrs. Potts (Beauty & the Beast); Dominion Stage - Louise/Eve (Ruthless); Reston Community PlayersOolie/Donna (City of Angels). She danced in the NYC Macy's Parade. Studied choreography and piloted a Cameron Mackintosh musical at Duke University. She believes in only being a Diva ONSTAGE and always a TEAM PLAYER offstage!
Erika Horton (Bette Davis) After a 25-year break from performing, Erika recently returned to the stage in PWLT’s “The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge” last December, performing alongside Scott Olson and Ellen Woodstock. She enjoyed it so much that she leapt at the chance to join his cast for “Legends and Bridge”. Erika was first introduced to the stage at the age of 7 by her father when they appeared in a production of “The King and I”. She lives in Centreville with her husband and their canine overlord.

Danny Seal (Taxi Driver/Madison ) is excited about his first production with StageCoach Theatre Company. He last appeared in productions of Legally Blonde (Nicos/Your Majesty) Rockville Musical Theatre, The Frenchman (Thomas Jefferson) Shoestring Theatre Company, The Delightful Quarantine (Dean Stadler) Reston Players. Danny wants to thank his incredible husband David for all his continued love and support.

Brian David Clarke (Tennessee Williams) is a former elephant trainer who's lived and worked on three continents and has written extensively about the experience. Local audiences may have seen him onstage as a very modern Major General or on his knees as Lord Farquaad at Way Off Broadway, as Freddy in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Zemfira Stage) and Thénardier in Les Misérables (Theatre Lab), or at Vienna Theatre Company as Francis in One Man, Two Guvnors.
Maggie Swan (Producer) has been involved in the theatre for over 50 years and has loved every minute! She would like to thank StageCoach Theatre, Scott Olson for his wonderful direction, Stephen Foster for his terrific show, the entire cast for their fabulous performances, and all those behind the scenes for their hard work in bringing you Legends and Bridge! She would also like to thank her husband, Chuck, for all his support and help. Finally, thank you for supporting community theatre! Enjoy the show!
Scott Olson (Director) is so happy to be back at StageCoach Theatre where last year he both directed and co-starred in Babes in Toyland. Before that he was in Scared to Death. He has been in and directed multiple shows in the DC Metro area and is so happy to be doing so here with a great cast and his best friend and cohort in crime his producer Maggie! Enjoy the show!
Stage Manager ( Ellen Woodstock) This is Ellen’s first time working with StageCoach Theatre and the first time, in a while, she has not been on stage performing. It has been a nice change to be working behind the scenes. Prior to this, she was on stage with Prince William Little Theatre in their Christmas show “The Trial of Ebeneezer Scrooge” and she had so much fun! Whether she is on stage performing or part of the crew, anytime she gets a chance to be part of a great show, like this one, she is thrilled!
Erin Briner (Assistant Stage Manager and Makeup Assistant) is 37-years-old and lives in Warrenton, VA. She has worked in community theatre for 20 years. She won her first WATCH award at 18. Erin enjoys her dog, writing and Korean food.
