t a h l o u n c a t c e p S By Don Zolidis Produced by Jerri Wiseman Directed by Claire Coker and Joe Campanella The fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm are turned on their heads in this fast-paced, rollicking ride as two narrators and several actors attempt to combine all 209 stories ranging from classics like Snow White, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel to more bizarre, obscure stories like The Devil’s Grandmother and The Girl Without Hands. A wild, free-form comedy with lots of audience participation and madcap fun.

Produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc. (www.playscripts.com)

Director’s Notes

ulathon c a t c e Sp

Directing this show has been an interesting experience, and not just because of the priorities of health and safety for all involved. I had the extraordinary pleasure of working with Claire Coker, a first-time director who showed great creativity in her vision of the show. Many of the style elements and logistical decisions you see on stage came from her inspired concepts. She also made the fundamental choices in casting the talented individuals portraying the diverse host of characters in the show. I know that she feels she's learned a lot from my mentoring, but I also learned a lot from her wonderful vision of the presentation. I look forward to her future work in theater, and I know I speak for both of us when I extend a heartfelt thanks to our amazing cast and crew for bringing this entertainment to life -- and to you, our valued guests, for supporting this precious resource known as theater. Have fun with us as we spend a couple hours' respite from the troubles in life -- just sitting back, smiling, and enjoying the show! ~ Joe Campanella

ulathon c a t c e Sp Madeline Amme (Rapunzel, et al.) has performed in two productions for her school, Shrek the Musical Jr. and The Little Mermaid, and one production here at StageCoach Theatre, Hansel and Gretel. She had so much fun working on The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon with everyone.

Tessa Brizhik (Narrator #1, et al.) is excited to be a part of The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon as Narrator #1. She is a junior in high school and this is her first performance with StageCoach Theatre. Some of her favorite past roles include Kate the Orphan in Annie and Doris Walker in Miracle on 34th Street with her high school drama troupe. Despite the obstacles of 2020, she is grateful to be able to pursue her love of theater with this show at StageCoach and through some wonderful virtual shows. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her. She hopes you enjoy the show! Claire Getsy (Little Red, et al.) has been doing musical theatre for more than four years. She is excited to be back at StageCoach Theatre again this year with Director Campanella after playing Molly in his play The Elf Who Came for Christmas in 2018. She has played many fun roles such as Annie in her school's production of Annie and Donkey in Shrek Jr. where she first met her dear friend and Spectaculathon cast mate, Annabelle Monte. She and Annabelle also performed together in NYC at Carnegie Hall. Claire would like to thank her parenting team and her friends and family for the endless support, plus Mr. Joe and the StageCoach family for providing many smiles during this crazy pandemic.

Kylie Lewandowski (Cinderella, et al.) is happy to be back at StageCoach Theatre for another production. She loves all things theatre and is ecstatic to present these fun characters after a seemingly endless year of online theatre. Some of Kylie's favorite past roles include Crutchie in Newsies the Musical, Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, Freddie from School of Rock, and Micah in The Internet is Distract--Oh look a kitten! Stay happy, stay healthy, and enjoy the show!

Annabelle Monte (Snow White, et al.) is so excited to be in The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon! This is Annabelle’s first production with StageCoach Theatre; however she has done many other productions around Northern Virginia. Some of Annabelle’s favorite roles she has played include Genie in Aladdin and Elsa in Frozen Jr. Annabelle would like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her and running lines with her, as well as Mr. Joe and Ms. Rose for directing an amazing show!

Suraya Ranjber (Enchantress, et al.) is making her debut at StageCoach Theatre. She has been absent from the theatre for a few years but is thrilled to be back on the stage. A couple of her past productions include The Crucible (Giles “as Grace” Corey) and Tracks (Nun). She is extremely passionate about acting and loves bringing characters to life. When she is not on stage, Suraya enjoys filming skits and making videos. She hopes to continue acting every chance she gets and wants to thank her family and friends for always supporting her.

Brogan Wyman (Narrator #2, et al.) is honored to have been cast in The Brother’s Grimm Spectaculathon. This is her first production with StageCoach Theatre and she is very happy about all of the new friends she has made. Brogan has previously been seen in LCPS productions of Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid. In her free time Brogan enjoys watching movies, drawing, and playing basketball. Brogan would like to thank the cast and crew of BGS for making the show a success. Also, she sends a big thank you to her parents and brother for their continued support of her acting dreams! ▪ Joe Campanella (Director) has been in theatre for over 20 years, writing and directing for most of that time. His favorite role was playing John Adams in 1776 (the play, not the year!) He has written, composed, and directed Old MacDonald's Farm, The Elf Who Came for Christmas, Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel, and Cinderella: Once Upon a Time. He didn't write the show you're seeing now, but it's definitely a style he loves! ▪ Claire Coker (Director, Sound Engineer) is excited to work on another StageCoach Theatre production. She only recently joined the theatre a few months ago but has enjoyed her experience thus far. Previously, she worked behind the scenes for her school’s plays and musicals. Thanks for driving me out, Mom and Dad! ▪ Rose Bailey (Assistant Director) is studying theatre at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has enjoyed this opportunity, and would like to thank her family, who helped make this possible for her.
