THESE CHALLENGES INCLUDED DETAILING INTERFACE, RESEARCH AND CHOICE OF MATERIALS, AND COORDINATION FOR A GMP PACKAGE OF DOCUMENTS.

THE VARSITY VILLAGE WAS CONCEIVED AS A COLLECTIVE LOCATION FOR ALL CAMPUS SPORTS ACTIVITIES INTO ONE CENTRAL PLACE. PLANNED AT THE LINK BETWEEN THE EAST AND WEST CAMPUS THE NEW VILLAGE WOULD CONTINUE THE CAMPUS “BRAID” AND SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCE THE ATHLETICS PROGRAM IN ITS CONFERENCE. RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERALL MASTER PLANNING, BUILDING DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION COST COORDINATION, PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL.

THE ARENA AND ENTIRE COMPLEX TRANSITION FROM THE LOWER SCALE URBAN FABRIC OF HOBOKEN TO THE MANHATTAN SKYLINE WITH MATERIALS AND TEXTURE THAT SPEAK TO THE HISTORIC CONTEXT.

THE WEMBLEY BOWL WAS CONFIGURED FOR OPTIMAL SITELINES AND DISTANCE TO THE GAME OF FOOTBALL; THE INTERIOR “BOWL” SPACE IS FULLY ENCLOSED WITH A COVERED ROOF THAT IS INTEGRATED WITH THE BOWL AND ITS SUPPORTING STRUCTURE. MR. STAGGS SERVED AS PROJECT BOWL ARCHITECT LEADING A TEAM OF (4) FROM THE US IN LONDON. THE ENTIRE 50+ A/E TEAM DESIGNED THE PROJECT FROM AN ON SITE OFFICE IN WEMBLEY. EXTENSIVE INTERACTION WITH THE BUILDER AND SUBTRADES IN SD/DD TO MORE ACCURATELY COORDINATE DRAWINGS WITH ACTUAL CONSTRUCTION METHODS.
