LETTER FROM 2021 CHAIR, KIMBERLI GREEN

The idea of people working together for the common good and supporting business success is at the core of credit union heritage. The Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce provides organizations like America First Credit Union the ability to engage on many levels. I’m proud to represent AFCU as a Cornerstone Partner within the Chamber and serve as the 2021 Chamber Chair. We’re also proud to have been a Chamber member for 61 years! Serving these two organizations that I love so much has been a wonderful journey.

We are a large, diverse and dynamic Chamber that continues to experience growth with members representing a wide variety of types and sizes of businesses. The Chamber provides resources to serve these organizations by reaching potential customers, providing opportunities to invest in employees through professional development and leadership opportunities, and improving the community through engaging in critical initiatives and legislative activity.

The strength of the Chamber comes from individuals who create the time to be involved, participate in conversations, and – like the theme of the Women in Business Committee this year – “Be the Good.” The connections and relationships developed between members extend beyond business. The friendships that have become such a valuable part of my life drive my passion for chamber work.

I encourage and invite you to get involved with the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce. The dividends you and your business will receive are limitless. This success comes from more than just being a member; it comes from making time to connect. Like Wayne Huizenga said, “Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen.” That is one of the key principles the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce is built on – business leaders, teams and individuals waking up and making it happen every single day!
