Love it or Leave it

As cliché as it may sound, I love watching the leaves fall once autumn hits. Obviously fall is synonymous with the changing leaves—bright reds, burnt oranges—but I can’t help but romanticize the moment that those beautiful leaves can’t hold onto their branches any longer and fall to the ground. So I felt like there was no better time than now to start waxing poetic about this lovely occurrence, mostly because as soon as they do indeed tumble to
the ground, I’m going to officially be grumpy because raking leaves is a pain in the ass. So before my crotchety tendencies set in, please allow me to revel in my picturesque vision of descending foliage. A perfect way to bring the majestic arbors indoors? These stump stools created by Kieran Kinsella were formed from fallen trees around his studio and would make a great autumnal addition to your abode.

1. Aschera Leaves Rug by Chandra Rugs from Burke Decor, $583 - This rug may be a pretty straight forward interpretation of tumbling leaves, but that doesn’t stop it from being an enchanting reminder of the activity going on outdoors. 2. Large Serving Bowl by Heath Ceramics, $115 - With the falling of leaves comes the delicious autumnal bounty of the season. Celebrate the fall equinox by cooking up some delectable butternut squash and serving it in this orangehued bowl. 3. Fossil Leaf Blanket by Pendleton, starting at $228 - The leaf print on this blanket is both mesmerizing and kind of eerie.
