Knit &

Weave jenny gumbert

I would not call myself the craftiest lady on earth, but I have intense respect for those who are. An art that I have been in deep admiration of lately is the ability to weave and knit. Who would have thought that skills that have been utilized for ages to make everything from clothing to rugs would be so complicated and beautiful? I have always been a fan of the cozy knit of a good sweater, but now I’ve become intrigued by other objects that can be knit and weaved. I have been especially interested in beautiful weaves like this one by Brook&Lynn. This piece would make an amazing statement when hung in a living room or bedroom and has such a beautiful mix of colors that manage to be both bold and tranquil. Now all I need is a loom, some yarn, and—oh yes—some skills.
