OK, you may be thinking, I get it. I believe I’m here for a purpose. I believe God determined an exact time and place for me to be. I believe that he has plans for me . . . I just don’t know exactly what those plans are. How do I figure it out? Oh, believe us, we understand. At a time when you’re trying to figure out what to do after high school, which colleges to apply to, what to major in, and what career path to ultimately take, figuring out your whole life purpose can be a bit overwhelming. But we promise you this: If you resolve now to do the work to figure out what you’re made of— what stirs your heart and what you’re gifted to do—it’ll make all the rest of your decisions easier. Without a life mission, we can be tempted to run willy-nilly, getting involved in any project (no matter how worthwhile) that people ask us to—without considering whether it’s truly the best use of our time and talents. The result is that we get burned out and our efforts are watered down. People without a clear sense of direction can end up
