Lesson 2

God Makes All the Animals Genesis 1:20-25 Bible Words: “God . . . made the world” (Acts 17:24, NIV).

Children will • know that God made everything. • feel thankful that God made everything. • pray, “Thank You, God, for making everything.”

Children will accomplish the goals when they • say the Bible words, “God made the world.” • pray, “Thank You, God, for making the animals.” • sing about the animals God made. • examine an animal that God made. • name animals that God made or point to them in pictures.

Before Class For the Bible story, you will need the classroom Bible, Zach the puppet, the visual from last week, and prepared animal borders (see Lesson 1). Prepare the Game Center, the Family Living Center, and the God’s Wonders Center. If you are the only teacher, use just the God’s Wonders Center. Have materials prepared for the Art Center to use after the Bible story.
