I drove out to the dealer to see the cars, and the six speed one was Triple Yellow with black accents just like my original Shelby. I test drove it and I knew this was the one for me. It had everything I wanted, including the navigation system and the California Special package. It was July and he was trying to get rid of inventory, so he gave me a great deal on it. I put a deposit down and made arrangements to pick it up the following week. This car makes me feel like I’m 18 again, and when my wife and I go for drives around Long Island we always get a lot of looks and thumbs up. With the extra mods on it, it looks like my original Shelby did back in 1970. My California Special gets many first-place trophies at car shows and I will always keep it looking like the day I bought it.
