LET’S GET OUT AND DRIVE–2016 SHELBY GT 350

I’ve always questioned why some car enthusiasts spend a fortune on a car just to keep in cooped up with a battery tender and never get it past 100 mph or 5000 rpm. I told myself at an early age if I ever had a really awesome car, I’d drive it year round! I have always been into racing, whether it be NASCAR, IMSA, INDYCAR, or challenging my friends to karting. I’m one of those people that lives and breathes motorsports. This is my third Cobra, with a 1998 Cobra and 2017 GT350 preceding this one.

A massive opportunity came from Randy Runyan in Denver, Colorado in September 2021. He was selling this surgical track weapon and wanted to know if I could give it a home, since I was actively selling mine. I said no doubt! Upon doing some research, my GT350 buddies helped locate the original builder Dillon Holt (CA). This car has been all across the US! I flew out to Denver to meet Randy and pick up the car and drove it 1200 miles to Cincinnati, OH to show it to my dad, who taught me to love muscle cars. Then, it was time to drive 900 miles home to St. Augustine, FL. I have driven this car everywhere in between since! I can’t help but drive this car to the grocery store, to church, and still stretch its legs on backroads and race tracks! I just can’t get enough! I have been splitting my time between Florida and Tennessee, making new friends with fantastic groups like Mustangs at Daytona and Red Mirror events.
