NIGHTMARE–2016 ROUSH RS3
NEVER DID I THINK I’D BE SHOPPING FOR A CAR COUNTRYWIDE ON THE INTERNET.
This is a 2016 Ford Mustang GT with the Roush RS3 package. The car is pretty much a stock Roush Mustang. Modifications are mainly cosmetic including window louvers, engine covers and Lambo doors. Future plans include upgrading the fuel system to phase 2 and maybe a VMP package to boost HP to 727.
I’ve been in love with Mustangs for as long as I can remember. Every cool 80s movie had someone driving an awesome 5.0 Convertible. So, it was a dream car for me to own. But as I got older and saw the different packages being offered, it got harder to choose. I was always intrigued with the Saleen Mustangs, but never could afford one.
I was finally at the point where I could afford to get the car I dreamed of and then COVID hit. People all over the country were buying the cars I put on my wish list as I waited patiently for my tax refund to show up. I had to watch countless Saleen Mustangs, GT500s, GT350s, SVTs and other Roush Mustangs slowly go away. Never did I think I’d be shopping for a car countrywide on the internet. Luckily, in the middle of nowhere New Jersey at a high-end used import car dealer, he had this bad ass looking Roush Mustang with the Lambo doors and I thought for sure someone was going to grab this up. This car was a one-owner gem with 17,000 original miles and a clean Carfax. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
Now that I had the car, it needed a name. As I was driving along, I decided to put on some music. First song to come on was “All American Nightmare” by Hinder. Ok cool song. Next was “Nightmare” by Avenged Sevenfold. It was a sign… her name would be “Nightmare”.
