Some 28 different sites will be set up to vend their wares, including nine offering food, from Thai cuisine to buffalo sausage or frozen yogurt.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world. He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good. He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has

utterly neglected to attend to them. He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only. He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures. He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected, whereby the Legislative Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within. He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands. He has obstructed the Administra-

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. Big sounds coming to the park F

rom sounds of the big bands era to the pulse of the contemporary rock, the Festival of America will provide a diverse range of music in the Lower Visitor Center park July 4-5.

July 4 — Friday 5-7 p.m. Hometown Hooligans

alternative rock. But they also are prepared to provide a range of cover hits, depending on the crowd’s preference, spanning several decades. In fact, they play “anything you’ve heard” in the way of top 40 hits from 1960 to the present day, said band member Curran Long. OK, well, maybe not “everything,” but a good 300-plus songs in their repertoire, plus a willingness to taylor to the event for anybody from Beatles screamers to Foo Fighters fans, pretty much guarantees a good time. And since they’re playing until the laser show/fireworks time on the Fourth of July, they’ll likely come up with a suitably patriotic finale. Hendricks anyone? Band members include: Long on vocals, bass and guitar; Michael Gerety on lead guitar, vocals, bass; Riley Long on drums and backing vocals; and Austin Long, saxophone.

This cover band from Coulee City offers varied styles. They’ll cover hits spanning four decades and throw in some original pieces too. Clifford Bresee provides vocals, Carl Duvall plays drums, Dave Harwell and Dan Delp are on electric guitar, and Stacey thumps the bass. Here’s a band that has been a regional favorite for more than three decades. Rock A Bar plays classic rock, cover songs of all kinds and even some originals. The four members live in three different cities, but have been together playing gigs for so long (the newest guy has been in the band for nine years)

ours are available for Grand Coulee Dam, and they’re a big hit with most folks who go. The 50-minute guided tour is free of charge and available only on a first-come, first-served basis. The tour begins at the tour building where you will board a van to be taken to the Pump-Generating Plant. Highlights include a look at the large pumps used for transporting water from Lake Roosevelt to the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project concluding with a van ride across the top of the dam. Accessible tours are available with advanced notice by calling (509) 633-9265. All tour participants are required to pass through a metal detector prior to beginning the tour. Onsite storage for personal belongings is not available. Be sure to lock your car. An armed federal security officer escorts all public tours. Tour times: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m. From Sept. 15 - Oct. 3: 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. Tour times are subject to change without notice.
