The land is then given to the Veterans Administration (VA) to ensure that the cemetery can continue to receive veterans for burial.

The purpose of the 5K Race is to raise funds for the RNCIC, a non-profit, 501©3 organization, to purchase and clear land adjacent to the Fayetteville National Cemetery. The land is then given to the Veterans Administration (VA) to ensure that the cemetery can continue to receive veterans for burial.
